Figuring out your priorities in life is one of the biggest decisions you could make. Your life may be going well, but with God it can be so much better. I have never been so content with my life, and that is for one reason, and one reason only.
He is great, powerful, wonderful. He would do anything for you. He forgives you for every mistake you have made, will make, and continue to make. He knows your heart, and the truth of your life. He gives hope. He restores. He is the light in my eyes, and the beating in my chest. He is GOD! And I'm excited he is, because without him, there would be no you or me. I am happy with my decision to follow Christ and I'm even happier that it's a path I haven't had to walk alone. My grandmother has been one of the strongest influences in my journey.
Also, attending a Catholic University has shown me that God should be the center of my life, always. Going to college is when people usually tend to lose sight of God, but it has lead me to follow him stronger than ever. I'm not Catholic, nor am I religious. I read my bible, pray, and go to church. I just love God and everything he has done for me. I have met some strong women through bible study at my school, and they have shown me a way to God that I would have never found myself. I have learned with God you cannot be lukewarm, you have to make a decision to be all there or not be there at all. Another lesson that has been huge, and it is something I am currently struggling with. It is changing my life completely. I am learning that I have to change my life to get right with him. He is not adjusting to my schedule, but I am to his. It would be so much easier to just turn around, and go back to the way I was, but I want to be a better person through God, for myself.
He has honestly shown me what it means to love myself, and others. At the end of the day that is what it is all about. Sharing your love of God with everyone you encounter through anyway you can. It's hard to tell someone about God, because you are able to see all the fantastic things he has done, but it may not be like that for everyone. If you can make promises to God, and follow through he will never let you down. The journey may be long and hard, but it is worth it and the reward is even greater. You have to let your heart be open to him without holding back. But, Proverbs 3:3-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
Do not continue to question why things are the way they are, and just thank him for your life and everything you have. It may not seem like something to be thankful for, but it happened because of him. Even thank him for the things you are unhappy about. God has moved mountains for me, and my family. With him you never have to just rely on yourself. You may not be able to see him, but you can feel him. Know and understand you are exactly where you are supposed to be, and when he wants you to move. You will.
