Let go, let God. This is easier said than done. It's early in the week, but I already feel like I am being pulled in a million directions and I am trying to solve everyone's problems. The reality is that all these things I am stressed about are out of my control, but it's hard to accept that when you feel pulled in a million ways. I've been tried and tried with things flying at me from angles all in one day. This can get hard to manage when you are having a rough day. While I try to say, "Let go, let God," it doesn't always work out that way.
A lot of times we feel so overwhelmed with stress and anxiety that we just have to let it out somehow and then reign ourselves in and figure out what we need to do to feel better. While I want to trust that everything will be okay and turn out how it is supposed to, with stressful events happening all at once it is hard to fall into that mindset. That being said, it is not impossible. After we've relieved a bit of that stress, whether from talking to friends or family or simply crying, which helps sometimes, we are better equipped to let go of the stress and anxiety we are feeling. Once we let go and accept that things are not in our control, we can let God help us overcome these obstacles. When you are feeling overwhelmed, give Him some of those anxieties and worries and He will help you overcome them. I too am guilty of falling into the trap of stress and then I fall into a big black hole that I can't get out of. The reality is that stress doesn't help anyone. Even if I am stressed, obstacles that I didn't plan for are still going to happen and whatever outcome happens, happens. If we work on relieving some of those worries and letting go of our anxiety, we can be better equipped to handle the tough situations that are thrown at us.
Here are some verses I have used to keep me sane during those tough times:
Proverbs 31:25
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.
Psalm 34:17
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
Exodus 14:14
The Lord will fight for you and you will only be silent.
