This summer has been pretty OK. A mediocre 5/10 if I'm being completely truthful. I honestly don't like summers like the one I had, where I really don't have anything to do. I'm not even that good at finishing all of my work, I just like knowing I have work, just to keep me on my feet, just to give me some purpose. But this summer has also taught me a lot. And at the risk of teaching everybody some lessons they may already know, I'm here to tell you what I have learned from this summer:

1. Make sure to respond as early as you can to opportunities that arise (i.e. a trip to Africa).

2. Don't use a temporary email for things you will use longer than you have the email.

3. Writing Odyssey articles in the summer is a lot harder than you would think

4. If there is someone you like a lot, take a chance and talk to them.

5. Skyrim is still a fun video game

6. Tinder is an alright app

7. Don't tell everyone that something is going to happen before it's completely confirmed (i.e. a trip to Africa)

8. Dark Souls is a difficult video game

9. Make sure the tightness of your glasses is acceptable before you leave the store

10. You miss college friends a bit during the summer

11. Sid Meier's Civilization can get intense

12. Buying dice on the internet can be addicting

13. Make dentist appointments in the afternoon

14. Talking to women is a complex and sometimes saddening experience

15. Even nice guys can be complete jerks to women

16. Charge your GPS system before leaving to a location you have never been before

17. The USA is screwed in terms of leadership

18. Never give up on your basketball team, even when the odds look impossible to overcome

19. People at home start to wear on you after a few months

20. Donald Trump is a crazy man, and shouldn't be President

21. The PokemonRowlet is an adorable ball of love

22. Pokemon Go is a worldwide phenomenon

23. Kevin Durant has no loyalty

24. Seth Rollins is amazing

25. Buying clothes on eBay is bad strategy

26. You miss college friends more than a bit during the summer

27. The original Pokemon show was a bit worse than from what I remembered

28. Hillary Clinton and a lot of the Democratic Party are hard to support sometimes

29. MSCs decrease inflammation and Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection in the in vivo murine model of Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic disease in which pulmonary infection and inflammation becomes the major cause of morbidity and mortality.

30. Your girl friends can go into a lot of detail about things men shouldn't know

31. Some space from people can do you well

32. Sleeping is a cool thing to do, and you should do it all the time

33. Never agree to do other people's work that doesn't affect you in the slightest, even if they are your aunt

34. I miss my college friends a lot, and I really want to see them again soon

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
