Disney teaches us many valuable life lessons to always carry with us.

1. Peter Pan

Growing old isn’t a choice, but growing up is. Never be afraid to embrace your inner child. “All you need is faith, trust, and pixie dust!” -Peter Pan

2. Pocahontas

Always be true to yourself and your heart. “Listen with your heart; you will understand. Let it break upon you like a wave upon the sand.” -Grandmother Willow

3. Finding Nemo

Determination goes a long way. “When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do? Just keep swimming!” -Dory

4. Beauty and the Beast

True beauty can’t be found on the outside. Beauty is found inside and how you treat others. “But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within.” -Narrator

5. Dumbo

What makes you different, makes you very special. “The things that held ya down are carry ya up, and up, and up!” -Timothy Q. Mouse

6. Lilo and Stitch

Family isn’t limited to blood. “‘Ohana’ means ‘family’ and ‘family’ means noone gets left behind. Or forgotten.” -Lilo

7. Up

Never give up on your adventurous dreams. “Thanks for the adventure! Now go have a new one!” -Ellie

8. Wreck It Ralph

Always be true to yourself. “I’m bad, and that’s good. I will never be good, and that’s not bad. There’s no one I’d rather be than me” -Ralph

9. The Princess and the Frog

Hard work and determination goes a long way in helping your dreams come true. “It serves me right for wishing on stars. The only way to get what you want in this world is through hard work.” -Tiana

10. Meet The Robinsons

Keep moving forward. “You just focused on the bad stuff when all you had to do was let go of the past and keep moving forward.” -Lewis

11. Aladdin

It’s what’s on the inside that truly counts. “Do not be fooled by its commonplace appearance. Like so many things, it is not what is outside, but what is inside that counts.” -Merchant

12. The Lion King

Don’t take life too serious. Don’t forget to have fun. “It means no worries for the rest of your days. It’s our problem-free philosophy, Hakuna Matata!” -Timon and Pumbaa

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter
morethanwheels

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
