Leslie Knope For President

Leslie Knope for President 2016.

Yup, sounds good to me. There's something about that just roles of the tongue and is music to my ears. Leslie Knope, what an extraordinary woman. She always goes above and beyond to satisfy the people of the small Indiana town Pawnee. For those of you living under a rock, Leslie Knope is the deputy director of the Parks and Recreation Department for Pawnee's local government. We all know that we don't know who we want to vote for in the upcoming presidential election. All I know is I'm voting for Leslie Knope and this is why you should, too.

1. She's not afraid to say no.

2. She is already homies with congress.

3. She is very organized. And has her priorities straight.

4. And so is her sense of budget.

5. She keeps it 100 hunnid in every situation.

6. She knows how to dress for success.

7. And how to inspire not only others, but herself.

8. She makes a better Hilary Clinton than Hilary does.

9. She is willing to sacrifice sleep for her job.

10. And most importantly she knows the responsibilities she will take on and can handle them with ease.

At times it may seem like she doesn't have a plan or doesn't know what she's doing but whatever she is doing, she's giving it 150 percent. Her heart is as full as Ron Swansons mustache, and she loves the people around her as much as Donna loves her Benz. How many times did Knope sacrifice her own time and decisions for the good of the citizens of Pawnee? She is willing to do everything in her power to accomplish not only her dreams but the dreams of the people around her. Although Leslie cannot actually run for president, we all wish she could. So on voting day when you're standing in that tiny little booth just think "what would Leslie do?"

I leave you with the final words of Leslie Knope, "I'm running because I want to improve the lives of the people that I love and the city that's the greatest city in the world."

So don't forget y'all, Vote Knope 2016!!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
