A Lego Star Wars Review: How I'm Awakening My Inner Child

During my childhood, I was a fan of going outside and playing sports. It didn't matter what type of sport it was; I just wanted to be outside. The only days I would be inside were rainy days. However, I now have a reason to stay inside.

"Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens" - the next generation launch of the Lego Star Wars franchise - is a beautifully brick-constructed game that propels me back into my childhood. This game features awe-inspiring graphics that are impressive for a game that has been deemed "for children".

This Lego Star Wars solves many of the problems that the other Lego Star Wars games could not. The full array of voice actors - the same ones from the actual movie - is featured throughout this game. This improves the gameplay, as you fell as if you are actually playing out the events from the movie.

Furthermore, this Lego game has added a couple of new features that were not included in the other Lego games, such as the options during building. The gamer gets to choose how they will build specific items, which allows for the players to be creative in the way they wish to play each level.

Even though this game is great, it is not perfect. Although this game is incredibly fun, a lot of the unlockable characters are not very interesting. Many of the characters that you unlock are not interesting, have very little ability, and are almost unplayable. Even though some characters are great, it's impossible to feel as if the rewards from a mission are worth the while when you play a 30 minute mission and receive a character that you have no desire playing as.

Overall, this game is a wonderful creation: fun for all ages. It is my personal favorite Lego game. Playing as all of the characters from the movie is fulfilling. It's exciting to be able to play as these great characters that the movie made you appreciate; although, having to unlock the boring characters can be very redundant, and it often makes the game seem like it's dragging at times. This game, even with its flaws, will let everyone playing feel like a kid again, and that itself is worth the money.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
