Before starting college lots of people told me variations of one statement - "college is going to be the best time of your life!" And yes, I admit it is too early for me in my college career to counter that statement. However as a freshman with 3 tests coming up in one week I tend to usually disagree with such said statement. Yes there are some great moments, I won't deny it, but not exactly what I would call 'the best time of my life!' I would rather call it a huge learning experience. No I don't mean that I learned how to solve triple integrals (although I am quite proud that I was able to comprehend them). I'm going to be focusing on other problems that I learned to solve.
1. I learned how to survive two weeks with $20 in my bank account.
2. I learned how to go a week without doing my dishes.
3. I learned how to go 3 days with only one hour of sleep.
4. I learned how to write an essay the night before and get more than a satisfactory grade on it.
5. I learned how to make a doctor's appointment, because what high schooler ever made their own appointments?
6. I learned how to watch a whole season of my favorite show while completing my problem sets.
7. I learned how to clean up vomit.
