LCD Soundsystem's new album is on the way

Near the beginning of 2016, news spread that LCD Soundsystem would be reuniting not only for a tour but for a brand new album as well. While the band was on the road for the most part of last year, LCD Soundsystem’s new album never came to light. That appears to be changing though in 2017, as bandleader James Murphy, has taken to Facebook to share a much-needed status update on the long-awaited project.

Responding to one fan, Murphy commented, writing, “Still working on it, but it’ll be done soon. Winter tends to mess with my voice, so finishing the thing drags out.” He also responded to another comment that asked directly “WHERE IS THE ALBUM,” expressing, “Working on it!”

LCD Soundsystem is currently scheduled to appear later this year at the Forecastle Festival in Louisville, Kentucky and Atlanta’s Shaky Knees Festival. Stay tuned as more information on their forthcoming albums develop.
