2018 was quite the year for Christian artist Lauren Daigle. Her music has always been prominently featured on Christian radio stations and in worship services at practically every church in America with worship hits like "Trust In You", "Here's My Heart", and "Peace Be Still". She has also won several music awards in both secular and Christian music groups. She was considered to be one of the biggest rising stars in the Christian music industry, and her 2018 smash-hit album "Look Up Child" helped her star rise even higher. The album's lead single "You Say" was soon playing on every Christian radio station and quickly became a message of hope for many believers.

However, as the single began to garner traction, it quickly caught the attention of the secular music world, as well as other songs from "Look Up Child", like "Still Rolling Stones". But no other song from the album really achieved the level of fame that "You Say' did. Lauren Daigle has performed the song on countless TV shows, such as "The Ellen Show", "Good Morning America", and "Dancing with the Stars". And now, "You Say" has peaked at both the Billboard Top 10 Charts for Adult Pop Songs and Christian Airplay, making her only one of few female artists to do so. The song is currently sitting at the number 34 on the Billboard Top 40, and it's showing no signs of going away any time soon.

The biggest breakthrough, however, that "You Say" has accomplished is how much ground it has covered in the secular world of music. It is extremely rare for a Christian artist to be featured on one television talk show, let alone multiple. It's certainly a unique sight to see and serves as a testament to just how talented Lauren Daigle is. She's changing the face of Christian music for the better and showing that Christian music should be shared with all people from all walks of life.

Jesus said to His followers that He wanted them to be in the world but not of the world. It is the job of every single Christ-follower to go out into the world to preach the Word of God but not let it change them. Lauren Daigle is a perfect example of this way of living. She has shown time and again that people can bring the message of Jesus anywhere in the world. Her songs are accessible to everyone, and everyone on secular radio can clearly understand the inspirational messages behind every song.

Cardi B and Ariana Grande are both great artists in their own right, but it is a great chance to see an inspirational artist's music climb the charts. There is enough music in the world that spreads negative messages, so it's extremely nice to hear an artist speaking truth through their music. Lauren Daigle's music is bringing more people to Jesus through an avenue most Christian musicians are too afraid to touch. She is breaking out of the mold which Christian artists sometimes find themselves in and is using her music as a way to bring Jesus to the entire world. She stands by her beliefs that she may be the only Christian people encounter, and she does everything she can to make the most of this opportunity. Her music serves as a beautiful example that all Christians need to be as much like Jesus as they can, every chance they get. It is our job as Christians to reflect God's light to everyone we meet, and I think everyone can learn from Lauren Daigle about what it means to go out into all the world and share the Gospel with everyone.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
