We all get late night cravings whether it be at 9:00 p.m. or 1:00 a.m. It can be hard deciding what to eat at these hours of the night and because it is late you probably want to eat something relatively healthy.

So instead of diving into that container of mint chocolate chip ice cream or grabbing that bag of potato lays chips, try one of these snacks that are easy to make and will satisfy your late night craving whether it be salty or sweet.

1. Popcorn & M&M’s:

This is probably the easiest snack and it will for sure satisfy your salty and sweet craving. Popcorn will satisfy your salty craving and is better for you than a traditional potato chip. While adding in some M&M's will satisfy your sweet craving. It's a surefire way to beat that late-night craving.

Ingredients:

1 bag of your favorite Popcorn (I like Skinny Pop)

1 small packet or handful of M&M’s

Instructions:

Put the popcorn into a bowl and add in the m&m’s and enjoy!

2. Banana Peanut-Butter Chocolate Bites:

Now, this little snack is sweet and is a healthier take on ice cream. Creamy banana and peanut-butter and sweet chocolate is an unbeatable combination.

Ingredients:

1 banana

Peanut-Butter

Dark Chocolate

Instructions:

Slice banana into small pieces

Spread the peanut-butter onto each slice and sandwich together

Put the little sandwiches onto a wax paper and freeze for about an hour

Then while your sandwiches are freezing melt your chocolate in a double boiler

Remove the banana bites from the freezer and dip each banana bite in the chocolate and put back on the wax paper

Freeze for an hour

Keep in the freezer until your late night craving hits!

Enjoy!

3. Yogurt With Toppings:

Yogurt is another great alternative to ice cream. It satisfies that sweet creamy craving and is the perfect late night snack. Adding in all of these toppings will give your yogurt a twist and make a perfectly sweet, crunchy and delicious snack!

Ingredients:

1 cup of your favorite yogurt

1/4 cup raspberries

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Sprinkle with your favorite granola

Honey

Cinnamon

Instructions:

Put your yogurt into a bowl and add in raspberries, dark chocolate chips, granola, honey and cinnamon!

Enjoy!

There you have it — three easy snacks to satisfy your late-night craving.

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
