Dear Athena,

I don't have a car here, and there are plenty of times when I come home after a late night and am starving. What are the best places for late night munchies?

-Adam G.

Dear Adam,

Although in previous articles I have advised against late night binges, I do understand that we all do it. If you're going to binge, though, you might as well do it on something good! Late night munchies are a staple college experience, and if you don't give in sometimes, then you're no fun. Let loose and stuff your face at any of these nearby restaurants. Listed below are the top five places to go to satisfy the urge.

Toppers: Toppers pizza is great for the classic savory flavor, especially because they deliver until 3 a.m. if you're already home and too lazy to move (as most of us are after a late night). Added bonus: They know campus like the back of their hands, so if you can't quite make out your address, a simple landmark will do the trick. Most recommended order: Pepperoni Topperstixs and Cinnastixs -- and yes, you must order both.

Whattaburger: I don't think Whattaburger needs much of an introduction being that it's huge throughout Texas, but if you don't already know, its famous for its home-like comfort food! It's not too far from campus, only about a half mile down West Berry, and the people who work the late shifts are extremely friendly and tolerant. Most recommended order: The Honey Butter Chicken Bisquit and French Fries.

Salsa Limon: Located right next to The Cellar, Salsa Limon is a small food truck that dishes out quick favorites like quesidillas and burritos! Another great thing about Salsa Limon is that it's outside so you're able to cool off and get fresh air while you wait and eat. Added bonus: There is usually a cute and friendly dog hanging around to play with and sometimes a solo act to serenade you. Most recommended order: A classic chicken or steak burrito.

Fuzzy's: Right across the street from Salsa Limon, Fuzzy's is another Mexican oasis. It has a bigger menu and a different taste than its face-to-face competitor and offers the option of a full meal including drinks, chips and queso. Most recommended order: Chips and queso and the baja shrimp tacos.

Ol' South: Open 24 hours, Ol' South provides a large amount of options that will fill you up guaranteed. Most people might choose Ol'South as a morning after recovery center. It is always a good place to go if you and your friends are all craving different things. Most recommend order: Eggs Benedict or any type of pancakes and waffles with hot chocolate. Don't forget the hot chocolate!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
