"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" premiered over a month ago, and never has the fandom been so divided. Online forums and Youtube comment sections are littered with disputes about the film. Friendly discussions over Luke's dejected character and the nature of Kylo and Rey's relationship can quickly turn controversial. Visually, the film was stunning.
The acting was superb. And it's definitely one of the most complex plots of any Star Wars films. But fans are still left with some serious questions: Why didn't Holdo just tell Poe her big master plan? What was the point of following Rose and Finn to Canto Bright if they nothing was going to be gained from their mission? And what's up with that force sensitive kid at the very end of the movie? What does that mean for the final film???
The two-year wait will be a daunting one. But whether you loved "The Last Jedi," or wrote several strongly worded emails demanding it be removed from canon, we can all agree on one thing: "The Office" is amazing. So to ease a little tension, here's a retelling of the story straight from the beloved Michael Scott with a little help from the Assistant to the Regional Manager, Dwight Schrute.
11. Poe to Admiral Holdo in every scene.
Holdo is the Toby of the Resistance.
10. Luke standing over Ben in the flashback.
At least from his point of view.
9. Kylo just before killing Snoke.
Funny how he's devoted to the Supreme Leader until he threatens Rey....
8. When Kylo and Rey team up against Snoke's Praetorian Guards.
Totally didn't see that one coming.
7. Rey when Kylo starts walking toward Snoke's empty throne.
Rey will kick your butt back to the Light Side.
6. Finn when DJ betrays him and Rose.
Little does he know, Rey's lightsaber explosion has that covered.
5. Admiral Holdo after her heroic sacrifice.
*Spaceship.
4. Kylo to Luke at the Battle of Crait.
And Luke's just kinda like "Yeah whatever, kid".3. What Rey's look to Kylo at the end of the movie really meant.
Ben Solo > Kylo Ren.
2. And after she closes the Force Bond on him.
We know they'll meet again in the last movie though.
And.....1. When the movie ends and you remember this is Carrie Fisher's last contribution to the story.
This just makes her scene flying through space even more emotional.
As a fandom, we need to remember that the Star Wars community should be a place of positivity, always welcoming new fans in rather than turning every discussion into a heated debate. So if you're still upset about the newest Star Wars film (or if you're still obsessed with it), let's just all agree as a society that the answer is to everything always is simply to rewatch The Office.
