Being a second semester senior is like being inside Katy Perry's song "Hot n Cold." In the words of Katy, "You're in then you're out, you're up then you're down." One minute you can't wait to get out of your small college town and the next you are are having a nightmare about living on your own. You are simultaneously dreading the day when you leave your college friends while also being so done with everyone you've know for the past four years. Here are just a few thoughts that cross the bipolar mind of a second semester senior on their last first day of school.

1. "Yes, finally! The last first day of school is here."

You are so stoked that you will never have to go through the stress of walking into an unknown classroom ever again. You are also pretty pumped that most of your classes actually pertain to what you want to do after graduation.

2. "Wait, how do I not know where this classroom is?"

You can't believe that after four years of roaming your campus, you still can get lost going to class.

3. "I feel so old..."

Inevitably, you still had one or two general education requirements that you saved until the last semester and now looking around the room you see the starry eyed freshman with pencils and notebooks in hand you can't help but remember your freshman year, which feels like ages ago. Ah, to be young again.

4. "What do you mean we aren't going over the syllabus?"

In your senior level classes, you give the professor a death glare when he says "You are seniors, you can read the syllabus on your own. Now, lets jump right in to the material!"

5. "What would happen if I just didn't go to class?"

Senioritis is kicking in. You've learned some of the material before, and you just are not having it.

6. "I wonder what is worse: this class or a real world job?"

Sometimes you can't wait to join the workforce. No homework, no papers, no exams — sounds great! But then you remember how much real adults complain about their jobs ... it's a toss up.

7. "I'm really going to miss my friends."

Here come the tears.

8. "But on the other hand, change could be exciting!"

New friends, new city, new job — this is what dreams are made of! Maybe you will travel after graduation. Maybe you will get a dog. Bring it on adulthood!

9. "I can't even cook chicken, I can't do this adult thing."

What were you thinking? Being an adult is hard. Maybe if you fail enough classes, you can stay a fifth year and avoid the real world.

10. "Should I start looking for jobs now?"

It is only January but applications are pretty tedious so you get out your computer to start looking up places you could work. Fifteen minutes later, you find yourself on Netflix after taking two Buzzfeed quizzes and reading your horoscope. Job applications can wait ... right?

11. "Screw it, let's out go!"

You decide to go ahead and celebrate the last first day of school by going out. Yeah, it's Monday but who cares?

12. "Let's make this the best semester yet!"

Yes, the real world is right around the corner. But it's still four months away, so take the time to spend quality time with friends and don't take anything for granted!

Happy last first day seniors!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
