It's about that time again where we return to our responsibilities and rest our concentration in our future. Might as well spend those last few days of freedom with quick and accessible entertainment. (Even though you're likely to still do so when you should be studying for a class.)

YouTube

1. "Summer Break"

Believe it or not, there's literally a series on YouTube centered around high school teens about to enter college. Think of a "The Hills" type of thing. Considering that the cast is made up of drama-filled, gorgeous people, and it is set in California, it isn't that far off. You'll become invested with the stories of these young adults enjoying their carefree days before they take on the next step in their lives. Unfortunately, the web series did not release a season this year. However, there are five seasons to keep you entertained.

2. David Dobrik

I actually started watching David Dobrik the summer before my entrance into college. Now, this vlogger has become a favorite among both influencers and young adults. With four minute and twenty-second long videos (ha, ha), David delivers short videos with quick wit piecing together each clip. His comedic and personal vlog style has introduced a new approach to YouTube.

3. Shane Dawson

Anyone who has paid attention to the internet world knows of Shane Dawson. Commonly known for his conspiracy theory and food videos, Shane has held the unofficial title as the King of YouTube.

Recently, Shane has been creating new content. Series have become a huge part of his channel, featuring collabs with Jeffree Starr and Tana Mongeau as well as haunted visits with his inner circle. Now, his videos are an hour-long in length. With this, he has upped his subscriber count to over 16 million viewers. It's perfect to sit down to after a long day, binge his series and maybe some carbs too.

Netflix

1. "Insatiable"

You may have heard about this Netflix original when its trailer recently went viral on Twitter. The new show starring Debby Ryan got slammed for body shaming. I also saw the backlash but decided to check it out for myself. And let me tell you - amazing.

The preview can be quite misleading. Come to find out, the series' message is to not judge a book by its cover like many people are quick to do as shown from the recent incident on Twitter - cast member Alyssa Milano says in a People magazine interview.

"Insatiable" is pleasantly surprising with its interesting but lovable characters, slapstick humor and unusual plotline - so much so I finished it in two days.

2. "Se7en"

Its the film that spawned the iconic line, "What's in the box?" If you're a fan of American Horror Story, this psychological thriller is a great choice for you. A dark theme, amazing leads and intriguing mystery keep minds racing to predict what will happen next. The film has a Fight Club-WTF ending and not just because Brad Pitt is a common factor.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
