Singer, dancer, musician, actress, theatrical performer, fashion icon, LGBT advocate, mother monster—what has Lady Gaga NOT done?
Well, she has never really been known to dabble in the beauty industry… until now that is. Who better for the job than a colorful, vibrant, quirky, unique, and natural beauty like herself?
With all of the superficial makeup lines launched in recent years like KKW by Kim Kardashian and Kylie Cosmetics by her sister Kylie Jenner, it's refreshing to have something that actually feels genuine.
Gaga has been known to make quite the fashion statement, so we can only imagine what kind of products her line will entail. Monster matte lipstick? Rainbow eyeshadows? Poker face? The possibilities are endless.
Her variety of looks over the years have ranged from the outspoken and over-the-top Fame Monster era; the sexy and scandalous ARTPOP; to the recent, all-natural hippie-ish, pop-superstar vibe of Joanne. All bold and unique, a perfect resume for an upcoming beauty mogul.
Not to mention, she's doesn't exactly have the typical beauty queen look. She has a strong face and intense features rather than the soft look most beauty icons are known for, so it's finally something many women can relate to.
According to Allure, it's been confirmed that Gaga has filed an application to trademark the name Haus Beauty as her cosmetics line. She's been dropping hints and using Haus hashtags for months on social media but has not yet announced or commented on the line.

So far, the fashion media world has agreed that this line has been long anticipated. The announcement published by Harper's Bazaar began with, "Another day, another celebrity makeup line—but this one is long overdue."
According to Glamour, "it's nothing new to hear about a celeb launching a makeup brand, but this line's trademark will 'go beyond that and cover so much more.'"
Haus Beauty has trademarked everything from makeup products, to lotions and fragrances, and to facial creams and cleansers. There is definitely a lot in Gaga's future of beauty branding to get excited about.
With the album and tour success of Joanne, last year's release of the documentary Five Foot Two, and recent breakthrough to Hollywood's big screen in the remake of A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper, the little lady is doing big things these days.
Among all of the basic celeb makeup lines out there, Rihanna's recent launch of Fenty Beauty was a groundbreaking moment in the industry. With her mission to create a product based on inclusion, her line was a missing piece the beauty world needed.
Now it's up to Gaga to leave another lasting mark with her creations. We can only hope that Haus Beauty will have that same type of impact in this thriving, cut-throat industry. And of course, the same type of success.
