We all know the unspoken rules of girl-code, these rules generally range from ways to behave when dating, at a party etc.
HEY, LADIES GIRL CODE ALSO EXTENDS TO PUBLIC BATHROOMS.
It's obvious we all know they are gross AF and if you're anything like me, we just want to make the trip to the emerald city as painless as possible and it should be known that we need to follow unspoken rules on how to act in the bathroom. While some seem like a no-brainer majority of the ladies out there are disregarding them. So, let's all do one another a solid and get familiar with said rules to make the trip a little better. Here are some unspoken rules:
1. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE FLUSH THE TOILET AND CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF
A few weeks ago, I went to use the bathroom in the Commons and I was immediately appalled... every stall had remnants of the Crimson Tide or toilets left unflushed! That's flat out disgusting Icouldn't believe that girls could be such foul creatures honestly. Ladies this shouldn't have to be said flush the damn toilet and don't leave your crimson tide all over the toilet! If you somehow can't hover and miss getting urine on the seat CLEAN IT. Have more pride in yourself and don't be disgusting!
2. Step away from the mirror if someone needs to wash their hands.
If the bathroom is limited to one mirror and I come out and have to wash my hands don't continue to stand in front of the mirror just fluffing around for five minutes. If you are just going to bullshit please move aside or move to the back I am short you can definitely see over me. Please be polite and let other girls wash their hands.
3. Always warn other girls if there's no toilet paper.
This irks me to a whole other level... There isn't anything I despise more than when someone doesn't warn me that there isn't any toilet paper left . ITS COMMON COURTESY! I AM NOT DOING THAT SHAKE AND SHIMMY DRIBBLE BS! Always tell another girl if the toilet paper is gone period.
My overall point is that we have a set of unspoken rules that we are expected to follow when we are out in public whether it be out of respect or common courtesy its just polite and sanitary to flush and clean up after yourself.
