I'm 20 Years Old, Work 3 Jobs To Afford Gas, And Kylie Jenner Is Basically A Billionaire—But yeah, i'm Fine

The 20-year-old reality star, makeup mogul, mother, and youngest child in the Kardashian-Jenner clan is officially about to add "billionaire" to her already insane resume.

Kylie Jenner grew up in the spotlight and has lived the farthest thing from a normal life. She and her older sister Kendall Jenner grew up in front of the world's eyes on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" which first aired in 2007 when the duo were 10 and 12, respectively. It is no surprise that she ran into a few controversies here and there.

Kylie famously denied and later admitted to her now famous lip fillers in 2015, although it appears she recently had them removed for good. She was also slammed with lawsuits and overall backlash over her lip kits and other products due to copyright infringements, poor packaging and quality, scandalous titles of her products, poor customer service/ policies, and outrageous prices. There was also her infamous relationship with rapper Tyga while she was 17 and he was 25 that was beyond creepy and illegal. And most recently when she got pregnant by Travis Scott at 19 after only dating him for 3 months. This was highly speculated for months before she finally announced to the world in February 2018 that she welcomed her beautiful baby girl Stormi.

Overall, she has a pretty clean presence for being the world's first child reality star. After all, she and Kendall were somewhat of social experiments because they literally grew up on TV while the world watched the lives of their "mega-famous for being famous" family unfold throughout the last 11 years.

Because of her TV show paychecks and mostly her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, which she owns 100% of, she has amassed a net worth of $900 million before she can even legally have a glass of champagne to celebrate! Her makeup line is worth $800 million and made $330 million in sales in the last year.

Big sister Kim Kardashian-West's net worth it ~only~ $350 million. I guess she isn't the most famous sister of them all now. Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder and CEO of Facebook, became the youngest billionaire ever at 23 years old. Kylie looks like she is going to take his crown at 21, which is so insane.

The craziest part is that she really did this on her own. Of course having the name Jenner and the connection to her older sisters and famous parents, Kris and Caitlyn, gave her her start and helped her brand explode, but make- up is her niche and she found it on her own.

So, of course, I'm bitter that Kylie gets to be a CEO with no degree whatsoever and I have to work three jobs in order to afford gas in my 2005 SUV that has over 100,000 miles on it. And of course, I'm jealous that she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and doesn't understand what being told "no" is like. She's never had to work for her money, but she chose to. She could've been a very wealthy young lady with just her paychecks from E! and her trust fund to boot, but she went out and started her own company. I really can't hate on her for that, even though I would love to.

One day ten years from now, after my nearly 20 years of formal education and an incredible amount of debt, I can hope to make six-figures, while Kylie Jenner is making well over ten- figures. She'll also have a ten- year old child when I have my first. But she can't say that she worked so that she could eat or struggled to get where she wanted to be. She won't have a college degree and the satisfaction that comes with working so hard to complete your education. But in 10 years I hope that we're both happy wherever we are. Because her 30 will be very different from mine, just like how our 20th year looked back in 2018.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
