Kylie Jenner Is toxic And You Should Really Stop Caring So Much About Her

Don't support a baseless rich girl.

Kylie Jenner is toxic. Her whole family is, but especially her. I do not have the time.

This week, Kylie was in the news because she took out her lip fillers.

First of all, why is that news?

Why do I care about some rich, twenty-something-year-old that I don't know personally? Oh wait, I don't! So why am I being updated on that? Also, afterward, I saw so many people saying "Kylie took out her lip fillers! Natural lips are back in!!!" But here's what's wrong with that statement:

First of all, If some celebrity determines what's "in" for you, that's sad.

You have to have someone else dictate what's attractive and stylish for you? You want to look like someone else so much that you do exactly what they do?

Also, any sort of plastic surgery is a big decision that costs money. If it's something you really want to do, go for it! But don't make that kind of major financial and personal decision for yourself based on whether or not someone else has or has told you to.

Lastly, and to me most egregious, features can't be "in."

Some people naturally have full lips. So unlike Kylie and all these other fake girls out here using people of colors' bodily features as trends, they can't just get rid of or take out parts of their bodies when they get tired of it.

But this isn't the first time she has used black features/styles as a trend. A couple of years ago, Kylie decided she was essentially going to co-opt cornrows so she could post a selfie on Instagram. As she always is, she was praised for being edgy and cool. Many people, most of them white, were like "why are you complaining? It's just hair." But what they don't understand is, it's not just hair. It's controversial.

Our hair, because it doesn't fit the ideal beauty that is having long, blonde and straight hair, has often been ridiculed. It's often been described as ugly. Wearing our hair in a way that is productive for us isn't seen as feminine to others.

So, I'm not gonna congratulate Kylie Jenner for doing something black women have literally been doing for hundreds of years while black women in America are still being fired for wearing their hair in cornrows since it's seen as "unprofessional."

Kylie was also in the news because apparently, her "cosmetics empire" is worth $900 million dollars. And today on Twitter, I saw a real, GoFundMe campaign to get Kylie her billion dollar business so she can become the youngest self-made billionaire ever.

So, someone took it upon themselves to ask regular people who don't have disposable incomes to donate to a campaign to make a millionaire into a billionaire? Capitalism is really corrupting you all.

Again I asked, why is she on my timeline?

But then I said, who is out here buying beauty products from some girl who literally only has the opportunity to seel anything and is only marginally famous because of who she's related to? Do you know how many people are probably going to school to develop their own makeup lines and will never get a chance because people like Kylie who have famous and rich families take opportunities from everyday people with dreams? I'm certainly not buying her products; I hate her and they're overpriced.

So if you are, why? And if you hang on her every word, why do you do that?

Be your own person and stop letting ignorant celebrities dictate your behavior.
