I didn't think it would be that different.
As a KSU student, we often joke about lots of things: the terrible parking situation, the three hour wait for an advising appointment, need I say more? We also poke fun at the "other" campus, also known as, "KSU Marietta Campus," which was formerly "Southern Poly." Long story short, KSU merged with Southern Polytechnic State University. As a result, classes that were taught on the main campus before are now also being taught on the Marietta campus.
Which means students are sometimes forced into taking classes on the Marietta campus because there's no other option. It's really no big deal, right?
Nah, it's all the same. Or so I thought...
My commute was only about ten minutes longer than usual, but boy, when I got there, it seemed like I was starting at a completely different school. Where the hell was I supposed to park? I should've just taken B.O.B. or something.

My friend (bless her heart), drew me a convenient map to help counteract this situation, as she too, had gone through the same thing last semester. Each parking lot had a sign with a different color depending on where you usually park at KSU.
I normally park in Central whereas she normally parks in East. The parking lot she gave me directions to was only for East, so I drove around trying to find another lot. I saw red for West, yellow for East, but where was green for Central?
Alas, after doing another circle, I realized it was right by where I had entered in the first place. Wow, I'm an idiot.
After parking my car, I looked at the clock, slightly panicked. It was 2:08 PM, my class started at 2. Well, I made it, so I'm just gonna go to class anyway.
I felt like a freshman all over again. Why was I the only female within a mile radius?

I put on my don't-talk-to-me-I-know-what-I'm-doing face and somehow found my way to the building. Pulling the door open with a sign of relief, I glanced around for a sign with room numbers. Nothing matched up, and I didn't want to waste any more time so I just asked for directions.
At this point, it was 2:20 PM. I had never been this late for a class in my entire life. Well, I was just gonna have to suck it up and be that girl that walked into class late.
Maybe I'm not the only one, I thought as I carefully swung the door open (thank God it was unlocked). Nope, definitely the only one, as the class stared at me. The professor didn't seem to notice or care, so I just sat down and acted like it wasn't a big deal.
It really wasn't. If you ever find yourself having to venture onto Marietta campus, don't fret. Just take a hybrid class so you only have to go once a week.
