My Ranking Of The Best 10 K-pop Songs of 2019

2019 was chock-full of comebacks, but how do we decide the best songs that came out throughout the year? I personally write articles that list off my favorite comebacks of the year. These are my favorites from 2019.

GWSN - Total Eclipse (Black Out)

GWSN's Total Eclipse comes in at number ten due to it's funky 80's House beat. It should have been the song for the album.

Apink - %% (Eung Eung)

Apink's Eung Eung gives a modern feel to an 80's beat. It's cutesy and bright, the overall vibe of the song is fun. The best part is the all pink.

GOT7 - You Calling My Name

You Calling My Name is smooth, but funky song. It's by far GOT7's most sophisicated song yet. The overall styling, choregraphy, vocals ....; chef's kiss. Felt that GOT7 found their sound.

Red Velvet - Psycho

To end of the year Red Velvet drops one of their best tracks since Bad Boy. MV is oppulatent AF. The best stying in Red Velvet history. Wendy's vocals and adlibs ties the song together.

SuperM - 2 Fast

Techno breakdown. Taemin, Baekyun, Taehyun's smooth and silky vocals.

GOT7 - Page

One of GOT& 's best B-side. It's GOT7's usuals playful sound but elvated.

MONSTA X - Playing It Cool

This is by far one of Monsta X's song best songs. Overall the song is super fun. Plus Steve Aoki can never do wong with a beat.

ITZY - Want It (Remix)

THIS SONG HITS!!!!!! I absolutely love the trumpets in the beginning.

DREAMCATCHER - Silent Night

Let's begin with the fact that DREAMCATCHER is by far one of the most underrated groups of K-pop. Bring hard-hitting metal and rock into K-pop. The break down at the end of the song is complete perfection.

NU'EST - BET BET

NU'EST's BET BET was an instant hit to me. It has one of the best build-ups and drops. The overall flow of the song is beautiful. The small moments throughout make this song.

2019 was absolutely a good year in K-pop. I can't wait to see what will come in 2020.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
