Koziar's Christmas Village: A True Winter Wonderland
Party of Five

With the Christmas season in full-swing, lots of people are out enjoying holiday traditions and getting in the spirit for the big day. It might mean waiting in line with your children to meet Santa at the mall, heading out as a family to find that perfect tree, or maybe it's breaking a sweat while untangling all those lights. But however long your list of traditions may be, make sure you add "visiting Koziar's Christmas Village" to it.

Located in Bernville, Pennsylvania, this village is anything but plain and boring. And it isn't your average Christmas lights attraction, either. As you drive over the top of the hill and look down at the valley below, you'll see a true winter wonderland, complete with over a million Christmas lights, old farmhouses, and a lake that glows at the front of the attraction. It's truly a sight to see before you even make it to the parking lot, and many people pull over to snap a picture of this magical village nestled in the countryside before going on their way.

Once you walk through the entrance, you'll feel like you just stepped into the North Pole. Christmas music rings through the air, the lights are twinkling everywhere you look, and there's a faint scent of fresh chocolate chip cookies (I'll tell you about them later).

There are no tour guides, so you can walk around and enjoy the views without feeling rushed. Just follow the pathways that wind through the village. Along the way, you'll come across many display buildings that house train sets and various Christmas scenes, grabbing the attention of adults and children as they peek through the window to see what's inside. Santa's Toy Shop is also open to anyone who wants to stop in and see what toys the elves were hard at work building. For any couples celebrating the holiday together, the Kissing Bridge is a popular spot to get a quick smooch in for good luck, and it may even be the perfect spot to pop a very important question (hint, hint, guys)! There's a giant Santa along the way that is great for a group picture that's Christmas-card-worthy, a "Little Village" that's cute and quaint, and do you remember about those cookies I was talking about earlier? Make sure you stop at the country kitchen, where fresh baked chocolate chip cookies await you, along with a cup of hot chocolate or apple cider. Visit one of the multiple gift shops before you head out and take home a beautiful ornament to remember your trip by (or as a last minute gift for someone else).

I went to the village for the first time two years ago with my boyfriend's family, and I've looked forward to going ever since. I love walking around and seeing all the old stone buildings and barns decorated in colorful lights and holiday wreaths. The barnyards are covered with snowmen, reindeer, and many other decorations that look amazing in a white blanket of snow. The entire village is old-school and comforting, helping its visitors slow down and appreciate the season. Just hand me one of those cookies and I'm ready for Christmas!

With the popularity of the attraction growing, the lines of people waiting to step inside are growing, too, but it's definitely worth the wait. Christmas is about more than the gifts under the tree. It's about the time you spend with your loved ones enjoying the sights of the season and the traditions that are celebrated year after year. Head on over to Koziar's Christmas Village and start a new tradition that'll stick around for years to come!

In case you're unaware, "resting bitch face" is the term used to describe when a person's natural, expressionless face makes it look like they are mad at the world. Whether they are walking down the street or simply spacing out thinking about what to eat for dinner, it's very easy for others to assume that this person is either upset or mad at them. Because of this, those of us with Resting Bitch Face (RBF), and especially us women, have all experienced many of the same situations and conversations, including:

We've all had a crush before. Whether it leads to something or nothing, the process has all been the same. The awkward feelings, the stalking, and the stress of trying to keep this huge secret. The feeling of becoming a total spazz is something that cannot be avoided, and the most spazzy family that can relate to this feeling is the Belcher's.

At the tender age of 18, we are bestowed with the title of “adult.” For 17 years, we live under the rules and guidelines of our parents, school, and government, and to stray from any of those rules or guidelines marks us as a rebel. At 18, though, we must choose which college we want to go to or what career we want. We are allowed and encouraged to vote. We can buy lottery tickets and cigarettes. We can drop out of school, leave our household, and do other "adult" things. At 18, we start down a path of thinking for ourselves, when for the entirety of our lives other institutions have been mandated to think and do for us.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.
