As I thought to myself, "This guy is really cute and attractive. I don't think there is any way he'd go after me."
But I kept thinking about him.
"Has he even noticed me? Wait... Wait, he just caught me staring at him."
"Oh, his beautiful eyes. The way his jawline shapes his beautiful face..."
"There is something about him. I don't know what it is but there is just something in my gut that maybe...just maybe he is the one for me."
"I can feel it in my gut, in my heart."
Then, I knew in this moment that this handsome man was "The One."
Sounds like a starting of a book doesn't it? We could all hope and wish that we would have a moment like that in real life with a special person. A person that becomes ours.
Funny thing is, I have had that experience.
And it is by far, I mean by far, the best thing that has ever happened to me in my whole life.
I've been with my "One"for almost three years and counting, and the majority has been a long-distance relationship.
People ask me, "how do you do it?" "How do you keep the relationship going if you are barely able to see each other EVERY OTHER weekend?"
The truth is, it's tough. It's hard. And it never gets any easier. Every time we leave each other and say goodbye, it hurts and every time it hurts more and more. But what holds my 'one' and Itogether is OUR LOVE and the friendship we share. And the honesty, the communication and being each other's person.
He is my best friend. He is "The One"for me. And I can NOT wait to be his wife one day, to be the mother of our future kids, and to grow old with him.
Yes, we have arguments. Every relationship does. Does it affect our relationship or our feelings towards each other? No, we don't let it because we love each other and we don't want to waste the valuable time we have together over something stupid.
Being with your "One" has its perks because you know the bond you two share will NEVER break. Not one person, one argument, or anything will come between the two of you.
But let's rewind back to the day we met each other.
My first thoughts on him were "he is the cutest guy in the room."
And speaking on his behalf, he told his roommate at the time, "She is so beautiful man. She is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I don't know how or when, but I am going to make her mine one day."
Now you all are thinking, there is NO way he said that. But he and his roommate swear up and down that he did. And I believe them.
Several months later after being best friends and doing everything together...I was his and he was mine.
This boy told me he loved me repeatedly before he even asked me to be his girlfriend. He kept saying:
"I love you so much."
"I hope you know that I love you."
"I am so in love with you."
Now, coming from a person who has experienced finding "The One"on the first day of meeting someone, it happens. And it is so REAL. It will be the best thing that has ever happened to anyone.
Don't give up on finding your "One"because it will happen when you are least expecting it. Open your heart and never guard it. Don't be put down because it hasn't happened to you yet because it will.
We are put on this earth to LOVE and to be LOVED.
And the day when you meet that special person, you'll know that they are "The One." In your heart, your gut, your bones, and in your soul.
You will realize why the past relationships never worked. You will wonder how you were living before you met them. And you will know that this is the person you are supposed to grow old with. Your eyes will forever be locked on them. And your world will forever be changed for the better.
Trust me and trust your heart because I knew my boyfriend was "The One"the day I met him.
