OK, I'll be honest, I was not born in San Antonio, and, according to Google Maps, I live 30 minutes from the center of town. Google, however, doesn't take into account my 15 years of experience.

You know you're from San Antonio, Texas if:

1. You have a dozen Bill Miller cups in your pantry.

2. You have been to the River Walk and Alamo more than you have been to work.

And while you know the views are totally worth it, come on, we know it's not all that San Antonio has to offer.

3. You have gotten way too sick at fiestas.

Yet you keep going back.

4. You have more Spurs shirts than work shirts.

You look forward to snagging a free coffee when the Spurs win. After all, it's definitely needed after a night of celebrating by honking up and down the streets.

5. You wake up early only once a year, and that's for the Cowboy Breakfast.

6. You have proudly attended all the crazy parades and have them marked on your calendar years in advance.

San Antonio...home, sweet home!

And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
