15 Signs You Know Your Dog Is Your Best Friend
Kristen Bailey

1. Your dog has at least a dozen different names, not just one. Baby, Fluffy, Fatso? Only the best endearing nicknames for your four-legged friend.

2. You subconsciously save that last bite of food for the king/queen of the household. Who could resist those big brown eyes?

3. When you see other dogs you're instantly reminded of your own dog and feel guilty that you're not with them.

4. You think you have your dog well-trained, when in reality, it's the other way around. Going to take your dog for a walk? Nope. You're the one getting walked, buddy.

5. Your dog gets ice cubes in their bowl of water and treats on top of their food. Livin' the high life.

6. You'd rather spend a night in with your furry friend than a night out with friends. The puppy needs you, after all.

7. The word "puppy" is still part of your vocabulary even though your dog is way past the puppy stage.

8. You can determine what your dog needs based upon which bark he/she uses.

9. You secretly adore the little paw pad prints in the snow and/or sand.

10. A lint roller is your second best friend—of course, a dog is man's best friend.

11. Your heart melts when you spy your dog sleeping, and you usually have to capture the moment—for Instagram, obviously.

12. Pet stores are a way of life, and you can't leave without a new toy or box of treats in tow.

13. You can't stay mad at them long. Chewed up your shoes? Dug up the yard? Just LOOK at that face.

14. You start and end your days together.

15. You fully grasp the meaning of this quote: "Your dog might only be here for a part of your life, but for him, you are their whole life."

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
