One of the things I find the most heartbreaking in today's society is the amount of individuals who feel as though they have to live by the standards of other people. We seem to always be in need of other people's acceptance; we have to have certain people like our pictures, a certain amount of followers to seem cool, etc. We crave others opinion's of us so much, that we forget to read what the bible says: We are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14)
No matter your gender, there are always going to be people who want to tear you down. It is so important to realize that no matter what, we were all created to fulfill a higher purpose: to glorify God. If someone is getting in the way of that, it is time to let them go. Whether that be an abusive boyfriend/girlfriend, a toxic friendship, or just someone who makes you depressed, it is okay to say goodbye to them. You deserve to be happy, and live a life that you enjoy. Sometimes that requires us to take chances and work to become better versions of ourselves. Knowing your worth means valuing yourself, and who God has intended you to be. "Know the difference between what you are getting, and what you deserve."
