Hey GSU,

My name is Lexi and I am new not only to the Odyssey, but as a transfer from Kennesaw State University, and I’m new to Georgia Southern as well. I am ecstatic to be here and share in this experience with such a close-knit community.

I am a multi-media communication major with a theatre minor, ready to dive right in and see what this school has in store for my future! Last year, I got the chance to get cast in “Into The Woods” in one of the best theatre programs in the Southeast with a highly decorated Atlanta director.

I am super excited to share fascinating news and stories with you all. The Odyssey is a great place for me to connect with everyone in a way not many people get the chance to do. The news of the recent tragedy on I-16, with the loss of five Georgia Southern students, spread like wildfire. People, not only from my school, but many other schools, were praying for those people who are having to live on without their loved ones by their side. Like many of you, I lost one of my best friends last semester. With a heavy heart, I am going to strive to use this opportunity to not only share my experiences, but also share other uplifting stories in hopes of re-growth and positive change. These stories will come from Eagles just like you making an impact in our community!

It’s still so surreal that I am here at this amazing school. I can’t wait to see what’s in store. GO, EAGLES!
