Netflix is constantly putting out new shows and one of their newest originals is 'The Umbrella Academy.' One of the characters named Klaus is absolutely my favorite throughout the series, yet there is one thing that I have noticed. Klaus is definitely a college student. No matter what situation he is in, there are so many elements of a college student present. These are just a few prime examples of what I am talking about.

When all of your coffee hits during your all-nighter.

Whether it be an all-nighter or just the coffee hitting in general, we have all experienced this. The rush of the caffeine mixed with the lack of sleep. It basically turns every college student into Klaus. Especially during finals when you're running off 3 hours of sleep and 6 cups of coffee.

There is always that one class where you have no clue what is happening.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-yymKk7WLAMWz9K8N7v

We've all been there. There is always that one teacher who doesn't quite know what they're doing. This is the class where you just sit and watch Netflix. (You should check out this show if you need something new to watch) This also tends to be the class where you tend to either know more than the professor or you absolutely have no clue what is going on.

The one time when you have money to spend.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-vvlPAljeFIF21LcEJr

The thing that can happen every once in a blue moon and then you are actually able to go out and do things with your friends. It is such a great moment to actually not be sad when you look at your bank account.

When the fire alarm goes off at 3 a.m.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-the-NsKgjyaYFuNUcqwkj6

It always happens during finals week, but even when it happens any other time it is still the worst thing possible. It also makes you question why somebody needs to be cooking, making popcorn or vaping at 3 a.m. Being scared awake by that alarm is one of the worst things imaginable.

Refusing to hear all five of your alarms because sleep is more important.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-dtjeXQ4tsxZK40h5t5

Let's be real here, none of us want to get up in the morning. The alarm is the killer of sleep, especially for those poor souls who have a 7 a.m. We all question how important class really is at this point in the morning.

When LoudCloud doesn't save your submitted assignment.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-the-nlASjbOYrKNb1XMH8P

This has all happened to us at least once. The paper doesn't save or LoudCloud submits it but doesn't actually keep the document in it. No matter what is the moment of a sheer heart attack because something has gone wrong with the assignment.

When you only have one essay due this week.

https://giphy.com/gifs/umbrellaacad-netflix-umbrella-academy-the-8JQP4Dp1tNtusCuA1h

The eternal beauty of only seeing one essay due that week compared to the normal two on top of 4 DQ's and an annotated bibliography. The sheer relief that floods over you when there is only one assignment due is a blessing to your soul.

That time when your friends tell you to show up, but you have no clue what is happening.

We as college students are not the best at planning ahead. So there are definitely those times where you just text everybody and meet up to hang out. But there are also those times where you don't get told anything and you just end up at some place. And most of the time even once you're there, you still don't know what is going on.

You have to have a pamper time at least once a month .

We all need a little TLC sometimes. You have to have those nights where you take a nice hot shower/ bath, throw on a face mask, shave, put on a ton of lotion, treat yourself to something sweet and relax with your favorite show. This is a college must have!

Just accepting that your life is crazy and sleep doesn't exist.

We've reached that point in the semester where everything is just insane and it isn't going to really slow down until the year is over. This is also the point where you just accept you're going to be tire no matter what. Is anybody else there yet? I know I definitely am!

When the mental breakdown finally hits...

...... yep .......

Waving goodbye to all of that stress, anxiety, and homework.

Sweet freedom has finally come!

Thank you Klaus for everything!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

winter

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
