There's this kiss, maybe you know what i'm talking about but it's different. It makes you feel something. Something other than their lips against yours. It's not just the smooth sensation of their skin against yours and their head caressing your neck. It's more than the simple way that the muscles around your lips flex and the skin inside your mouth grazes your teeth. You crave it, like a glass of water after a hot day in the sun.
When the right person is there in the right moment. It's the right time and you're standing in just the right spot. It's like all of the stars alligned and that is exactly where you are supposed to be in that moment. That is exactly who you should be with in that moment. And your lips, they were supposed to meet right then.
Something electric flows through your body as your lips meet and then begin to part just a second later. You'll bring your finger tips up to your mouth because your lips feel like they're shrinking. The kiss makes you feel small and you question every other kiss you've ever had because nothing can match the intensity of that feeling.
It's slow and it's soft and it only lasts a second. Not the rushed kiss that your husband habitualy gives you before you leave for work. Not the thirty minutes kiss with your girlfriend in the bathroom of a bar. It's not an everyday kisses. Of all the kisses that you have in a lifetime, this is one in ten thousand.
Hold onto it. Remeber the way that your lips felt small and tingled. Remeber the feeling of your heart beat picking up speed. Remeber the knots in your stomach, how you swore it was tightening. Hold onto the feeling of getting lighter, the feeling of shrinking into your own body. The way you felt your body tremble. It's how you felt unsure but sure all at the same time.
I'm not a big horoscope person and I don't typically believe that the stars align in a certian way to make a certian event happen. There's no other way to explain this kiss. If you've had it you know what I mean, and it's electrifying. If you haven't, I'm sorry and I hope that you do one day. Don't look for it because I don't think it's something that you can find, but rather something that finds you.
