Now that Instagram's algorithm has improved, it has allowed users to express themselves easier. As someone who has had Instagram since the very beginning (and I mean the VERY beginning) I have started to notice the certain types of users. Whether you have Instagram yourself or you're one of these users, I am sure we can all relate to at least one of these.
1. The user with a perfect aesthetic
I've tireless tried to keep a steady aesthetic and sometimes it just seems impossible. Some people that I follow on Instagram have a flawless aesthetic. Their highlight reels look perfect and each post just looks even better with the certain color scheme they have assigned to their account. I love these types of accounts because it just makes everything so much more pleasing to the eye.
2. The "make Instagram casual again" user
Now that there is such a thing as an Instagram aesthetic, more and more users are trying to make Instagram less of a big deal. Whether it's posting a dysfunctional picture or doing an out-of-the-ordinary pose, sometimes these users spruce up my feed and they never go unrecognized.
3. The political user
The great thing about social media is that it's a platform where people can share all of their opinions and beliefs. While some people have chosen to remain less political, others aren't. This also doesn't apply to just Instagram, it applies to all types of social media!
4. The travel junkie
I swear some people on my feed are always traveling to beautiful exotic places that I've never heard of. These users both infuriate me and make me jealous because I'm usually looking at their accounts when I'm sitting on my bed doing nothing.
5. The social media influencer mom
I absolutely LOVE kids, so half of my followers are moms with gorgeous families. These moms also happen to be social media influencers that promote certain baby products or clothing that their kids love. Half of my saved items on my Instagram account are just pictures of cute kids.
6. The user promoting a pyramid scheme
If you're reading this right now and you sell products from a pyramid scheme, I am sorry. Nothing frustrates me more than when someone follows me and then them direct messaging me asking me to try their products. Not to mention that their whole feed is just promotional ads trying to get other people to join their team!
7. The somewhat almost famous user
I was an avid "Bachelor" and "Bachelorette" viewer for a little bit, causing me to follow a bunch of contestants on the show. It's funny to see the people who are barely famous trying to take every inch of fame they can have.
8. The wannabe photographer
Everybody knows at least one of these accounts. The photographers that have a decent camera and make accounts especially for their photography. My sister even has one of these accounts!
9. The "I want to show you how awesome my life is" user
Not gonna lie, sometimes these users really really bug me. There's a big different between being a humble-brag and just blatantly bragging and these users don't know that.
10. The "selfie-queen" user
Whether it's someone whose obsessed with makeup or just themselves. There's always that one person that posts a selfie at least once a week.
