People Are Struggling
I think that there has been some hurt throughout this quarantine spread with words; not just action. It truly tears my heart apart to see this happening. As a firm believer in Christ, I was hoping that this global pandemic would help people spread kindness all around the world, and boy was I wrong. I have taken a break from Instagram because of all the hate that I would see throughout the time I spent on the app. It started to tear me apart. There are people losing their homes, loved ones, jobs, and so much more. Kindness is so important throughout this time because people are STRUGGLING. I personally believed that it was obvious people were struggling throughout a pandemic, but I quickly realized how much HATE there is in this world that we call home.
Remember...
I never thought that people would need to be reminded of this as it was instilled into our brains at such a young age, but TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WANT TO BE TREATED. There are so many people out there that are bringing hate to one another and it truly sickens me. I think that the saddest part is that those people think they deserve respect after treating someone so poorly. Everyone and I mean everyone's life matters. No one is above me and no one is below me. We are all equal with our own struggles that we face on a daily basis. Kindness is needed in this world; there is already too much hatred. I think that people have a misconception that hating someone is easier than loving them, but that is so far from the truth. Loving people can be hard... do not get me wrong. However, loving someone can genuinely turn another person's life around and eliminate hate. It also helps YOU become a better person.
Hypocritical
I am not trying to be a hypocrite as I know that I have struggled to be kind and loving to all, but it doesn't mean that we should not do it. Although I struggle with this, it is something that I challenge myself to do every day.
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible. - The 14th Dalai Lama
Forgiveness
Forgiveness is hard, but the first step to fully opening your heart to love someone who has done you wrong; is to forgive them.
Forgiveness is not an emotion; it's a choice. - Adrian Rogers
I know that it is so hard to forgive someone, but life is short. When you hold a grudge against someone the only person that it hurts is you.
Lastly,
Be kind, forgive, love, and remember that this life is short and temporary.
