This movie got way more hate than it deserved

A Kind Review On Suicide Squad
MTV

With the release of the movie Suicide Squad this month there have been many negative reviews with some positive ones added to the mix. And while it is easy to understand the negative reviews and where those writers come from I believe that there are a lot of points where these reviews are being far too unkind towards the movie.

So here it goes on a more positive review of the movie Suicide Squad, now as with any good critic one has to admit that every movie has it's faults. And this movie is no different, although I do not believe it deserves the amount of hateful comments it is getting.

The first issue with this movie, was they didn't give it enough time to be created. They rushed it and it deserved more time both in the movie and in the creation of it. Too many scenes were cut and a lot of the scenes from within the original trailer was removed and so it gave fans a different idea of what was go to take place in the movie.

The next issue with the movie was the fact that it was less of a Suicide Squad movie and more like a Will Smith is here being Will Smith and less on the whole squad. And well his character was interesting and the motivation for him working in the squad gave a different view and side to the whole bad guy idea, he was a bit unneeded in certain parts.

So what was good about this movie?
Honestly almost all of it.

I mean first off this movie has so many amazing actors and actresses in it that I died reading the lineup when I first heard about the movie. I mean Jared Leto and Cara Delevingne in one movie not to mention Will Smith (even if he was focused on more than he should have been).

So what's not to love!? I mean all these incredibly talented actors are in one movie.

Second this is the first time we have ever seen a live action Harley Quinn, who is a fairly new character in the DC history, but she is very popular and so it was great to get to see her in a live action movie rather than a cartoon or video game.

We also had an amazing score in this movie, I mean almost every song was well used for the idea of the scene it was in. Gangsta by Kehlani was very fitting for the backstory of Joker and Harley. Plus not to mention the cover of Bohemian Rhapsody done by Panic! At the Disco which had never really been recorded until this movie and had always just been a treat for fans at live concerts.

And because I can't forget this, Jared Leto made one hell of a Joker, and he doesn't deserve the hate he has been getting for the character. Especially because I would personally enjoy to see him come back as the Joker in future movies. Please note part of the idea of this is it is supposed to be more modern and so in all reality modern day Joker would be very gangster-ish and less like the older Jokers we have seen on the big screen. No one can replace Heath Ledger but that wasn't what Jared Leto was doing, he was trying to portray another side to the Joker and I think he did a good job given a lot of the scenes he was in got cut from the final product.

So there you have it, here is a positive review on Suicide Squad, it was honestly a very good movie. And while everyone is entitled to their opinions here is mine.

No Matter How Challenging School Gets, You Have To Put Your Health First — A Degree Won't Mean Anything If You're Dead

Some of the best advice I've ever received was from my social studies teacher in sophomore year of high school. He stated, "If you don't know it at midnight, you're not going to know it for the 8 a.m. exam, so get some sleep."

It's such a simple piece of advice, but it holds so much accuracy and it's something that the majority of college students need to hear and listen to. "All-nighters" are a commonality on college campuses in order to cram in studying for an exam that is typically the next day.

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!
