October is one of our favorite time of the year. Halloween is in full effect and it starts to look alot like fall. But the holiday has been over taken by recent epidemic of clown sightings. Now you may be thinking "why is everyone going crazy over clowns ?" Well it must be an actual epidemic because the whole country is going crazy over this problem. People are scared of clowns in general but having them around during Halloween is every person's worst fear and the clowns spotted across america have been giving them a bad name.
This all started back in late September in rural neighbourhoods in the South as just regular pranks. Then the trend crossed over to bigger cities upstate and that's gotten crazy. Clowns would pop out at night weilding knives, sledge hammers, and even pick-axes. These kind of clowns have been hoping around from city to city scaring not just little kids but grown adults. Clowns have even been hiding in the woods hunting around college campuses. The hysteria is not only going to hurt other people hurt but also the clowns themselves.
People have been getting into angry mobs and chasing down these clowns. The most recent hysteria was at Penn State university where students went on a hunting spree after a prankster sent out a tweet of a clown sighting on campus. The incident was documented through snapchat by fellow students participating. No one was seriously injured but the campus police was brought to shut down the mob.
Many people are saying that this is all in the spirit of Halloween while others are saying that these are actual psychopaths trying to hurt people. In my opinion, this is just a seasonal hysteria prank that is going to die down as soon as the pumpkins are gone.
Who knows, maybe there'll be a crazy killer Santa Clause on the lose.
