I'm a huge advocate for women's empowerment. I believe that it is so important to remember that women are strong, amazing individuals, who deserve just as much recognition as everyone else for their achievements. It is not a secret that I am constantly talking about this; so much so that I have even started a magazine, Women's Republic, which serves as a platform to discuss women's rights and empowerment.
To take it a step further, Women's Republic and I have decided to create a hashtag on Twitter called #KickAssWomen. The idea behind this is to give women a chance to show off their accomplishments. This hashtag is solely a positive place for women to talk about what they're proud of, whether it's their own successes or those of someone that they look up to, see as a role model.
It is up to, as a society, to change the way that women are seen. It is up to us to recognize individuals and everything they have done to contribute to society and to their own well-being.
So, women, go use the hashtag. Show off. Use this as a chance to brag about yourselves. Whether it is a small achievement, or something big, talk about it. And remember, you ARE amazing.
