Kentucky Fried Chicken, also known as KFC, is taking its original chicken bucket to a whole another level. The fast food giant is celebrating its 60th anniversary of being in Canada. Mixing technology and food, they have revealed their new bucket. It is called the "Memory Bucket" and it is rightfully named so because users, with the memory bucket, are able to take pictures, then send them via Bluetooth to the bucket which will print out polaroids.
This is not KFC's first time collaborating food with technology. For example, the company's Japanese chapter raffled off a chicken-themed keyboard, mouse, USB stick, and sets of 3D-printed earrings as part of their social media promotion.
KFC's commemorative bucket shows people's joy and passion for creating memories using photography. Especially since recently, the surge in excitement for taking "selfies" has, in turn, created great inventions like the selfie stick to fit more than once person in a picture. There has also been a rise in nostalgia because of the comeback of Polaroid pictures. KFC's new "memory bucket" can be finger licking good and fun.
With such an invention as this, KFC's Canada Facebook page has put out a disclaimer. The disclaimer was that not everyone will be able to get their hands on the bucket, because it is a limited promotion. There has been no response from the company when asked "Where can I get the new bucket ?" However, they have said to customers to just stand by and frequently check their page for updates on when and where to obtain the bucket.
