Finding things to do during a time of stay at home orders can be difficult. Anything from puzzles to reading a book you've been putting off to finally being able to binge a show you've been wanting to can occupy some of your time. In between these times of relaxation I suggest that people also find time to clean and reorganize their homes. One of the best ways I have found to do this is by following the Marie Kondo style of decluttering. Netflix made a whole series about the women who reinvented how to declutter fast and with the most efficiency, which you can find by searching her name. Her method: hold each item and see if it sparks joy in your life, if not then it is time to get rid of it.
There are many reasons to incorporated this into your quarantine routine. One being that after this pandemic passes you can try to help your community by donating all your items locally so it stays within your community who might not be able to afford expensive items after the loss of pay. Another is that each day you can tackle small projects in her format so that it does not feel so much like a chore but mini accomplishments each day you can tick off. This time were living in can be scary but finding ways to occupy your time while in quarantine or out of work that can benefit your community is something that will be very beneficial after this passes.
