Consider all of the memories that you shared, and how much you've changed since then. Consider the entertaining stories you can recall together. Even as you grow up and go down separate college and career paths, here are some reasons why it's great to keep in touch with friends from high school!

1. You'll never have to go through the awkward small talk, since you grew up together.

2. You can complain about how much harder (or easier) classes have gotten since high school

3. They'll know about any drama involving your high school classmates that you haven't kept up with

4. You can relive your "glory" days (and be glad that you're in college now)

5. You'll never have awkward silences, because there will always be so much to talk about

6. You can compare current classmates to past classmates and talk about any doppelgangers that you've seen

7. They can compliment you on how much you've changed & grown

8. They can appreciate how your taste in men (or women) has changed since high school

9. Or they can appreciate that you've stayed together with your high school boyfriend (or girlfriend)

10. They can help you stalk your exes on Facebook and Instagram, since they're probably still friends with them

11. They will remember the inside jokes from years past and will understand when you're laughing at a random apple slice.

12. Talking to them and hanging out with them just makes sense
