The new Kappa Delta brand was revealed on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at the National Collegiate Training Academy and did not disappoint. Kappa Delta Sorority needed a rebranding. Their now-old brand can still be found on their website but even the website is undergoing a makeover which will be live in a few weeks.
Retired Kappa Delta branding
It's not that Kappa Delta is no longer "making great things happen," it's just that we needed to show more of what those great things are in our branding.
New Kappa Delta branding.
Kappa Delta has been inspiring women to serve their community for over 100 years, and has donated more than $15 million to Prevent Child Abuse America (PCAA) alone! Not only that, but through our very own international movement, the Confidence Coalition, we have been working with girls of all ages since 2009 to improve confidence and remind them they can achieve anything. Every active collegiate member does something to benefit PCAA and the Confidence Coalition every year and much, much more. So why not celebrate that?
I have seen in many of our chapter members a significant change in their confidence. From taking an appointed position and standing up and talking in chapter when they're terrified to speak in front of people, to reaching out and planning impromptu sisterhood events, to taking a council position, there is a difference in each woman from when they get their bid to when they are initiated. They have gained confidence.
Confidence is never going to be reached. It is something that we continually aim for. Just like the Kappa Delta open motto, "Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest," it is important to note that "strive" is present tense. We must continue to strive not only for those three things, but also for confidence in everything we do.
When you are confident, you are able to inspire others to want to be like you. No matter who it is, someone coming up to you and telling you they admire you, look up to you or want to be like you is one of the greatest compliments ever. Why wouldn't you want to inspire others and have them look up to you? But, you can't be inspiring without being confident.
National Kappa Delta blew people away with the new brand. The nautilus/rose logo reflects the values of Kappa Delta, and so does the new tagline.
Let us be great Kappa Deltas by "Building confidence. Inspiring action."
