"Believe in something bigger than yourself and find your purpose"

Justin Bieber: A Man with a Heart of Gold

Six years ago Justin Bieber released his first album and since then we have watched him grow into the extraordinary young man he is today. Through the falls, fights, break ups, smiles, tears and big breakthroughs in his career Justin has proven to us that he is only human but an amazing one at that. People often describe him as perfect but he really isn’t. He makes mistakes but reassures us that its ok to make them and he doesn’t give up on what is put in front of him. Yeah sure he gets angry, walks off the stage or even gets in a fist fight from time to time. If really deep down you look at those situations you know it was never meant to be mean. The reason he walked off the stage was because no one allowed him to make a connection with his fans, people just kept screaming at him with no respect and the fist fights were because the other person wasn’t being disrespectful by yelling in his face.

The word that so many people don’t process when they see Justin is respect. He always says “If you respect me I will respect you”. Justin is probably the most respectful celebrity you will ever meet. I have never had the opportunity to do so but just by following him on social media I can tell. Justin has so much love for not only his family, friends, co-workers, of course, his fans but to people, he doesn’t even know. He goes out of his way to say hi to people to make them smile and make sure they are ok. Justin also works with the Make A Wish foundation and I can’t help but cry whenever I see pictures of him meeting those fans. It is so heartwarming to see him interact with them and I was never a bit surprised that he continued to this all these years.

Justin has grown up and I can’t help but love him more and more every day. During his purpose tour Justin whipped out many surprises by not only brought his younger siblings on stage which was adorable but also brought random kids to stage to be his backup dancers. Along with that, he has done numerous giveaways and surprising fans. Justin also made the effort to interact with his fans. One of the speeches that stuck out to me when it appeared on social media during one of purpose tour stops in Europe was when Justin said “You don’t know how happy I am to be on this stage. I named this tour Purpose because I wanted to remind everybody that no matter who you are, no matter what you look like, no matter how young you are, old you are, you have a purpose and you matter. There’s a reason you’re breathing air. For a long time I lost my sense of confidence. And in return, I think what opposes confidence is arrogance. So I really wanna just let you know that whatever place you are in life, no matter what you are going through, no matter what you’re feeling, this is a safe place. It’s a getaway, and I want to let you know that I believe in you. And this is my purpose. I want to thank you for believing in me as well.” Justin has always made sure that his fans know that he loves them and continues to make a difference in the world every single day. He does so much for his fans and I just hope everyone realizes he does way more for us than he’s he asked.

It is so awesome to able to say I grew up at the same time Justin Bieber did. He continues to inspire us all and believe that we can achieve anything if we work hard. He is a great role and is the kind of person I hope to be like someday. A person who so many can relate to who makes mistakes and never lets anyone push him down. Justin is a believer who found his purpose with time and made the world a better place in doing so. I wouldn’t able to write this article if it wasn’t for my best friend Alyssa. She has shown me the other side of Justin and that he is worth far more than what he presents on stage. Justin is a hero and our hero. He is so many words and thank you will never be enough to him for all that he has done for so many of us. I will continue to keep up with him as he helped me find my best friend Alyssa who helped me find my purpose in life. My love for Justin will never dim and I know his heart will continue to shine on all of us. This is still his beginning and I can’t wait to see and hear what he has in store for us. Next stop is the stadium tour at Metlife for me and Alyssa and yes this will be my first Justin Bieber concert well besides Jingle Ball.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
