I have been a Justin Bieber fan for as long as I can remember. He and his music have always held a special place in my heart. I still get chills listening to his first EP, My World, for I see how far he has come in his music, and it makes me genuinely so proud to be a Belieber. Call me cheesy, but that's how I feel. Once a Belieber, always a Belieber.
There has been a lot of scrutiny in the media regarding his newest album, Changes. I have heard people say things such as "Every song sounds the same - romantic and ", and "The whole album is just about Hailey". To the people who have made such comments, here is what I have to say: the man is in love. He's wifed-up. Can you really blame him?
Justin Bieber officially married Hailey Baldwin September 13th, 2018. And if you look at either of their social media accounts, it is pretty clear that the two of them are absolutely infatuated with each other. Justin has been through some rough times mentally and even physically in the past few years, and from an outsider's perspective, it is obvious that Hailey truly helped him through those tough times. Justin is lucky to have Hailey, and Hailey is lucky to have Justin. They're just about the cutest newly-weds I have ever laid eyes on.
Artists write songs about what is going on in their lives. They express their feelings and thoughts through their art: their music. At least for now, Hailey is the center of Justin's whole universe, his rock. It makes sense that he dedicated this album to her. I think it is a beautiful thing. I mean, if I inspired a man's entire album...*swoon*.
All in all, I think this album is absolute fire. Through watching his recent YouTube documentary series, Seasons, I also am aware of how much strength and stress went into creating this album. After all, it has been five whole years since his last album came out. Speaking to that, I think Justin did an amazing job of curating his love for Hailey and all else that is going on in his crazy life into the most perfect collection of songs. He even featured some big-name artists on it, including Travis Scott and Post Malone. Justin should be proud of all he has overcome, and all he has accomplished.
So, to the Changes haters out there, what did you expect? He's not the adolescent teen that we watched grow up in the spotlight anymore. He's a grown man now, and I am so proud to call myself a Belieber for life. Cheers to Changes.
