Whether you're a "Belieber" or a "Directioner" November 13 was a day to remember. The battle of the heartthrobs began when these two pop sensations released their new albums on the same day. These guys have two of the most passionate fan bases made up of such a variety of people. I mean, I'm guilty of being a fan of both albums and each musician. Who wouldn't be? I mean, have you looked at these beautiful boys?
Have you heard them sing?
Justin Bieber's "Purpose" and One Direction's "Made in the A.M" topped the charts at number one and two with Bieber on top. This battle between two of the biggest pop sensations arose a new conflict between two of music's most passionate fan bases. The "Beliebers" and "Directioners" are back at it again. My inner "Belieber" is back and I'll tell you why JB and his new album easily win this battle.
1. His new look
Just look at him. Bieber's looks have gotten better and better as he's gotten older. I was a fan of J.B. when he rocked his shaggy hair, but this look has brought things to a whole new level. I just can't stop looking at him. One Direction is full of good looking guys, but nothing beats Bieber. His new style, hair, tattoos, beautiful smile and hot bod make him stay at the top of my list.
2. His new sound
When I first heard "What Do You Mean," I knew I would love this album. There's just something about the new sound coming from Bieber. His songs have more meaning and show a new sense of maturity that hasn't came from Justin before. Each song sounds different and has a whole new feel to it while One Direction's new album sounds the same as every other one they've ever made.
3. Bieber can dance
Yeah, One Direction can sing just as well as Bieber but none of those British boys can get down like this guy can. Bieber has been dancing since his first tour and time has only made him better. Videos of Bieber dancing to his new songs make me so happy and I can't wait to see what he does when he goes on the "Purpose" tour.
4. Bieber was your first pop star crush
I'm as guilty as any girl when it comes to following Bieber since the very beginning of his career. I watched him sing Chris Brown on Youtube and have been in love ever since. I listened to "One Less Lonely Girl" and "Baby" over and over, wishing he would somehow find me and sing them to me. I saw him in concert when "Boyfriend" was his big hit and that night was honestly one of the best nights of my childhood. I looked down on his tour bus before his concert and I promise he waved at me. I screamed, cried and will never forget that moment. When I see him again I can say I'll probably react the same way. Bieber has always been there and will always be my first big crush; 1D came too late to steal my heart the way J.B. did.
5. He continues to steal your heart in every way possible
Whether you see a picture, Instagram post or video of Bieber, he somehow manages to make you fall in love. There is just something about his smile and beautiful voice that can make any girl want to hear more. Bieber took a break from music for a while; he wasn't around the media much, but this new album changed everything. Bieber instantly came back to fame with "Purpose" and it was pretty easy for him to do. Only J.B. can steal his fans back this way and One Direction could never beat that.
I loved Justin when "One Less Lonely Girl" came out and I still love him today. He'll always been my first and my favorite. No matter what the media says about Bieber or how long he goes without making music, it will never take much for my inner fan girl to come out. Bieber just has something about him that will always keep me loyal and I know there are plenty of girls out there that understand exactly what I mean. Once a "Belieber," always a "Belieber."
