Being close with your roommate/ roommates in college is an essential part of having a good college experience. My past roommates have been, in my opinion, the best part of being in college. The women that I have shared close spaces with and gotten to know on an uncomfortable level, are my friends that I cherish. My roommates have been a big part of my life, and I’ve been super lucky to have such great ones. Especially because of the horror stories I've heard about some of the roommates my friends have had to endure. I am extremely blessed to have had roommates that became my best friends. Especially this year. I am almost too close with my current roommate and I would deem her worthy of being called my person. She might just be the Cristina to my Meredith, so for all the roommates out there who have an undeniably close relationship with each other, you can relate.

1. Your clothes do not belong to just YOU, they belong to BOTH of you. No need to ask, just feel free to raid their closet, because you know that they probably have your favorite shirt somewhere in their dirty clothes pile.

“Hey is that my shirt?”....... Maybe...

2. You are so comfortable with each other that walking around the apartment with just sports bra and shorts, or a long T-shirt and no pants, is a given.

3. Everything in the fridge is fair game. Sure you cooked a meal for yourself, but you bet your bottom dollar I’ll be eating some of that.

4. You are both extremely and disgustingly comfortable with each other. There are absolutely no boundaries between you two, and you could care less.

5. You force each other to workout.

“Get off your lazy butt and go to the gym with me”

6. But then you order a pizza together.

Let’s celebrate our great workout with some delicious carbs

7. You live for morning cuddles on the weekends.

Good morning let me tell you all about the crazy night I just had

8. You know where their stuff is, even when they don’t.

“Where’s my toothbrush?”

“I think you had it in the shower”

9. You know their daily schedule and feel the need to call them out when they didn’t make it to class.

10. You are inappropriate to the max when you are alone together.

11. Because you love them you will try new things with them.

“Hey I found this video on youtube on how to twerk, let’s learn”

12. You are extremely rude to each other, but in a nice and loving way.

*sneezes*

“Shut up.”

13. You participate in late night dinner dates. At 2 am. With chips and salsa.

14. You throw hate parties together to vent about that boy who was a total jerk.

15. But most importantly you support each other no matter what and will always be there for each other.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
