I am not one to have much luck in my life. Writing this poem made me realize how much luck I have and how much luck is out there. Being one of the luckiest people in the world to have a four-leaf, a lucky charm or a pot of gold is genuinely the best thing that has happened to me.
I want to be your
Lucky Charms
that float around
in your Sapphire
Bowl.
I want to be your
first four-leaf clover
you pick.
I want to be flung around
the iron stake.
Then carry me in your
pocket and
rub my foot for
Good Luck.
I want my head to
be face up on
the penny you pick up.
Just follow me to the end of
the rainbow
and I’ll have your
pot of gold.
I want to hang on your wall
and catch all your dreams
and web them out
like a spider.
I want to be the lady bug
who lands on you
and never leaves.
I want to be the nazar
who protects you from
all evil.
I want you
to be lucky to have me.
