Just Because They Love You, Doesn't Mean They'll Stay

I want you to remember that it's not your fault.

When you're sitting alone and the tears come down like Niagara Falls. When you can't eat because food is the last thing on your mind. When you hear a song in the store and try your best to hold it together until you get in the car. When the constant thought in your head is, "What could I have done differently to make him stay?"

I want you to remember that it's not your fault. Yeah, you argued sometimes, but everyone in a relationship does. The thing is, sometimes it's too hard of a road for someone to keep going on. Sometimes they have to take a different route. I want you to remember that it's not the road's fault it's cracked and bumpy. Those cracks don't make it any less of a road. Your flaws don't make you any less of a person.

You can give someone everything you have, but it won't make them stay. You can give and give and give in a relationship, but that's only going to take you so far. They can claim they love you, but it doesn't mean they'll always stay.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?
