France native Producer, Jumo is breaking through the beat-making scene with some new auditory and visual aspects to his EP Dérive, which has been astounding fans all over the world. Living between Paris and the Atlantic Coast, he is fully integrated with various musical environments. After traveling around the world for nearly a year, Jumo had come back home with a mini EP, which has evolved into his latest full-blown EP Dérive. "I worked with a piano bassist on several tracks of Dérive, (Dérive, Huit Jours, Bleu) in a different way than the ones I took before and where the contemporary music of Steve Reich or Philip Glass also strongly inspired me", says Jumo.

The seven-track masterpiece is much more than auditory harmony, it takes viewers on a journey that flows through the rhythmic life of Jumo. Focusing on the classical sounds that music today have derived from, he takes instruments such as the piano to another level of musical unanimity. According to Jumo, "the main idea is start with a simple piano line, and gradually add other layers that come to superimpose on the melody, creating lags and movement." This is exactly what happens when all of the sounds unfold together, it is as though he has broken through the chains of conformity to create an abstract world where music and delusion take listeners on a journey.

The First track, "Ville," uses darker notes and accentuates them with a groovy set of snares and kicks. This allows listeners to feel the groove as they are introduced to the melodic flow of Jumo's journey. The second track is called "Bloom," it uses lighter notes and higher octave vocals (by Holly Oysters) with a subtle dance background beat. This track is definitely considered the top hit within the EP, as it is appealing to the ear with vocals that pair well with the drum hits and effects. This track is also where Jumo gets creative and releases a visually enticing video that integrated optical illusions to correlate with his out-of-this-world music.

The album has four more songs that flow through multiple genres in harmony with hints of trance, tribal and indie- this album takes the producing world to a new light. The album makes for a perfect match with a versatile listener. It can be used as a morning workout mix or a classy late night event. Jumo is taking his performances to another place, as he brings along a projector to every show for a combination of experiences for each of his fans. Using abstract videos and the power of his new musical discovery, Jumo is able to create a new transcendental to exposure as he tours around Europe for 2017.

For anyone interested in listening or purchasing his EP, it is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, Napster and Title, and is available to buy on Itunes, Google Play, and Amazon.
