If you attend Syracuse University, you know that there's specific events that take place throughout the year that nearly everyone wants to attend- and that Juice Jam is definitely one of them. Juice Jam, the concert that University Union organizes yearly, is what every SU student looks forward to as soon as school begins. There's food, games, bouncy houses, and the best part- some of the biggest and best performers. Here is a quick recap of this year's Juice Jam.
Juice Jam began on a great note. With performers like D.R.A.M., LOLO, Tove Lo, Stephen and Marshmellow, how could the audience not have a wonderful time? The crowd went wild for D.R.A.M.'s hit "Broccoli" and literally screamed the lyrics to Tove Lo's songs "Habits (Stay High)" and "Talking Body." Although most people didn't know a lot of the songs by LOLO, Stephen and Marshmellow, they still were accepting of the new music and jammed along.
Juice Jam sounds like it went according to plan, right? So what was the missing piece?
We got stood up by our very own headliner, Fetty Wap. Cuse students patiently waited for Fetty to arrive until 40 minutes past his expected arrival time, when University Union informed us that he would not be making an appearance. The crowd went into an uproar upon hearing this, booing Fetty Wap while exiting Skytop.
Overall, Juice Jam was overall another wonderful and memorable day at Cuse. Despite the fact that Fetty Wap completely stood us up, we seized the day and still had a blast.
Remember SU students- it wasn't that we weren't ready for Fetty, he just wasn't ready for us.
