Stop Worrying What Others Think of You
Quotes Gram

Have you ever found yourself so caught up in wondering what other people think of you? Some of us believe that others need to approve of the things we do in order to fit in with the crowd. Not one person is the same and it’s no fun being like everybody else. Besides, worrying too much can stress us out and cause anxiety. Social media is a serious culprit. We spend so much time on Facebook posting pictures and updating our statuses as well as scrolling through other people’s feeds to see what they’re up to. We waste so much time trying to get the perfect selfie and find filters to make us look airbrushed. When someone loves you, they love you for everything that you are. Flaws and all. Not one person is perfect and that’s what makes each and every one of us so unique and different. There’s no need to try and top others, this is not a popularity contest. You were born into this world for a reason, hair color, eye color, personality included. Just remember everything happens for a reason. If you don’t see this now, one day you will understand.

We waste too much time trying to please others who don’t care as much about us as we do them. Others will appreciate you more if you love yourself and be yourself. Some people may judge you and pick you apart, but that may be because they are insecure with themselves and it makes them feel better to find insecurities in other people. Don’t let someone tell you who you are, tell others who you are. If people don’t like you for you, than they are truly missing out on an amazing person. That’s their loss, not yours. Don’t let anybody define you, the only person that can define you is yourself. If people don’t respect that, then remove that toxicity from your life. Some people may put a label on you before they even know who you truly are. They may judge you based off your clothes, your hair, your face, etc. Why would you want those types of people in your life anyways? Having that kind of negativity around can bring you down, keep yourself surrounded with positive people who want to build you up. We are who we hangout with, don’t forget that.

We don’t have any control about what others think about us. Even if you have the kindest heart in the world, sometimes others just don’t see the good that is truly inside of you! Let’s not stress about the things we can’t control, it is a waste of perfect happiness. Let’s waste our time doing things that are worth it, such as hanging out with the people we love and who love us. Don’t worry about if others are talking about you behind your back, simply continue to follow your dreams and do what you love. This just shows that you are already two steps ahead in achieving any goal you have set for yourself. Don’t get caught up in the pattern, change it. Love yourself and others will love you too! A person’s opinion is exactly that, an opinion. It doesn’t define who you are, only you can do that! As Dr. Seuss once said, “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive that is youer than you.”

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
