You do not have to agree with me, and you do not have to read my article –– similar to any other news medium. While I wish the news was un-biased and factual information, I am not ignorant to the fact that I must filter the media I follow in order to account for this favoritism. Every American citizen has the right to speak freely, and I respect that even if I firmly disagree with all the fundamentals that citizen values. With that being said, everything in this article is my opinion therefore this commentary is highly biased and may offend you if you disagree.

If you have not watched, read or listened to anything Tomi Lahren has to offer, please save yourself the headache and avoid her. Otherwise you may be like me and have watched her videos while scrolling through your Facebook timeline. Similar to many other people who avidly use Facebook, I like to click and watch videos that my friends share. I first came across one of Tomi Lahren’s videos a few months ago, and I chose to watch it due to the numerous people who had shared it on their accounts. After fully watching the video, I was stunned at the absolute and utter rudeness this women portrayed. I understand she wanted to make a clear point, but her ignorance-soaked spewing left a thick layer of hate on her outrageous messages. I cannot and will not look past this highly unprofessional front that she exudes.

As a journalism major who actively tries to breakdown the negative film that lays over the journalist community, I am appalled with how Lahren handles herself. With every tweet she sends and every video she posts, that film becomes darker and murkier. She feeds on immense disdain and focuses on picking apart small aspects of events or speeches but when stepping back, that event or speech had a much broader focus.

When speaking about President Obama she stated, “It’s because of your failed leadership that ISIS has taken over entire swaths of the Middle East.” So essentially, she is blaming hundreds of years of civil upheaval in the Middle East on one man, a man who's only led this country for 8 years of those hundreds. When doing some research, she could find that the Middle East has faced many different events like water crises, economic decline and corrupt leadership that has led to its current state.

Again in another video, Lahren commented saying, "True Americans don’t look to government as a savior because we already have one, Jesus Christ.” By saying this she implies that if an American citizen does not believe in Jesus Christ then they must not be a "true american." This is vastly incorrect because American was built on the policy of freedom of religion. If she would like to practice Christianity then she is free to do so, but that does not make her are more of a "true american" than a citizen that is of a different faith.

Perhaps the thing that irks me the most about this woman, is the amount of people who believe she is a credible source. Her videos are shared all over social media, attracting young minds who have just gained the right to vote. She appeals to them because she too is young and speaks like an angry teenager. Her videos remind me of a stereotypical childhood bully, yelling nonsense and picking fights with those who are on a completely higher intellectual field than her. Lahren says she is brave enough to say what many people are afraid to. I think she is oblivious to world issues and has absolutely no sense of cultural sensitivity. She may say what others do not, but that is because she is an ultra-radical republican who immediately discredits any point of view or story that is not akin to her own.

There is much more I could say about Lahren, but instead I say this: filter your news. Find your information in places other Facebook. Always consider both sides of the argument. Look for someone who holds themselves with integrity, especially when being ridiculed by others, and someone who still treats those with differing opinions than their own with respect. Because if we, as a country, listen and follow someone who constantly spews hate, we will become a scornful country fueled by animosity.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
