Journal Entry 1
Jack Walsh

Sitting outside Espresso Royale on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, I had the idea of starting a journal. Not of the physical variety, but on here where I could talk about the things which pop into my head throughout the week, and how they affect me. Personally, I think it is a fun idea which would help me to better engage with my thought processes and creative self. So here we go...

The week, but more weekend of 3rd:

Overall, I would say that my week was very long. Full of deadlines and a full day of snow I was elated to finally feel the welcoming embrace of the sun and weekend. I was made even more happy when I decided to finally venture to the coffee shop I had seen driving into Lansing a month prior. It was warm enough, and the walk felt good as I walked over the cracked sidewalk with Grimes playing between my ears. As I entered this new territory, I felt the welcome that I always find in a truly amazing coffee shop. Those who know me, know that a finding a new one can quickly become my sole focus for weeks, and this was no exception.

As I sat at the little bar, sipping my nitro coffee and reading a book, I felt the welcome of spring. A rush of excitement hit me, and I will not be quick to forget my first spring in East Lansing.

Until next time,

Jack. :)
