If you watch Netflix, then you've probably heard of "Queer Eye." The show is a reboot of the early 2000s Bravo show "Queer Eye For the Straight Guy," where five gay men with individual specializations give complete lifestyle makeovers to deserving "heroes." "Queer Eye" has quickly become a sensation, and it's no wonder — the "Fab Five" are addictive with their sweet, inspiring personalities. They're all incredibly genuine and talented, making them hard not to love and their show impossible not binge.

Being home for the summer and having free time, one of the very first things I did was sit down and watch "Queer Eye," and I'm so glad I did because I'm completely in love. While I love all five cast members dearly and equally, there's just something so captivating about grooming specialist Johnathan Van Ness that immediately drew me to him. He is fun, he is energetic, and he is unafraid to be completely who he is, and the vibes he gave me really reminded me of the summertime — relaxation, laughter, and sunshine.

1. Realizing that all the fun summer things you do add up to a lot of money

Yeah, a billion road trips and new adventures every week sounded great until I realized how non-bank-account-friendly they were. No, Jonathan, I CAN'T believe the struggles of the #brokelife.

2. Trying on the perfect bathing suit and feeling like you could give Tyra Banks a run for her money

We all have that inner confidence that pops her head out when you KNOW you look great.

3. Attempting to kickstart one of those "summer flings" that they talk about in every teen movie ever

And of course, doing it 21st-century-millennial style. Jonathan is all about staying modern and at the moment, ya know. Gotta turn that fam into your summer bae, am I right, kids? (... Maybe that was too far.)

4. Looking into the mirror and admiring that Golden Goddess Glow you have

media.giphy.com

Sometimes you gotta be your own admirer and looking sun-kissed is the perfect time to do it.

5. When the temperature is way too hot and you feel yourself losing brain function

media.giphy.com

Nothing like the blazing sun and heat stroke to turn your brain into some good ol' summertime mush.

6. When someone tries to mention the impending end of summer

media.giphy.com

Please, just let me enjoy the time of year where responsibilities feel fake and I feel a little cuter with my baby tan.

7. Staring at your closet and realizing that now would be a great time for a complete style change

media.giphy.com

Summer really be making ya wanna be a whole new person.

8. Being surprised by a sudden thunderstorm ruining your outdoor plans

media.giphy.com

While the sunshine and heat is (mostly) great, Mother Nature is also a big fan of summertime curve balls.

9. Coming out of the pool and feeling like 'Baywatch'

media.giphy.com

Even if you might actually just look like a drowned rat.

10. Getting the perfect, summery Insta pic

media.giphy.com

Who cares if every other person and their mama has posted that same bathing-suit-standing-in-ocean pic, you KNOW that your notifs are going to pop off with this one.

11. When someone says they wanna do something fun to enjoy the nice weather

And you conveniently forget your empty bank account for the sake of making good memories.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
