Ten years later and it's the best concert I've been to.

Going to concerts creates an experience of a lifetime. The feeling you get while waiting for your favorite band or artist to perform isn't the typical butterflies in your stomach before you get on a roller coaster or when you're starting your first day of class or work. It's a kind of excitement you can't describe but know many feel the same way.

Recently, I went to my second concert. No, it's not my second concert for 2017; it's my second concert I've been to in my whole life. The first one was the Future Now Tour with Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas last year in July. And the second one was last Wednesday for the Mad Love Tour with Jojo and her opening act Stanaj. Who, if I may add, has a voice of an Angel.

So who are Jojo and Stanaj?

JoJo, who's full name is Joanna Noelle Blagden "JoJo" Levesque, was a former teen star who had been in a ten year battle with her former record label to release her from her contract so she can make music. Now, after ten years she's stronger than ever. Not only did she release her first three singles which she called "Tringles" last year. but she also released her first album called "Mad Love" later that year. In her music she writes about everything that's happened to her within those ten years including the loss of her father in a song is called "Music." It's a beautiful song. Jojo's most famous songs that many know her from are "Leave (Get Out)", "Baby It's You", "To Little Too Late", and her cover of Drake's song "Marvin's Room." All of which she sang at her concert--cue throwback feels!!!

Stanaj, who's full name is Albert Stanaj, is a 23-year-old up-and-coming singer from New York who I've gotten the chance to meet and take a picture with. Just witnessing first hand how patient he was and humble towards his fans is astonishing. He's incredibly talented and I believe touring with JoJo isn't going to be the last time we'll see his name. With a voice like his, a killer smile and a wonderful personality, plus his love for his fans, he's definitely going to go far. He recently sang at this years Ultra Music Festival in Miami with famous DJ Afrojack. He went from performing in front of small crowds to 70,000+ people. I would've given anything to have seen that performance.

Seeing both of these insanely talented Artists, left me feeling so good that I only wanted more. The vibe that was feeding off the crowd was indescribable; it's ad if I was just meant to be there and witness such an amazing concert. JoJo also dedicated her concert to the late Christina Grimmie, which was appropriate given that the concert was held at the same venue she was killed in. She's forever missed.

Overall the concert was so fun; I belted out to every song and was so heart broken when it was over. But it gave me hope that there'll be more concerts like this one that makes me feel extremely happy I was a part of it.

One thing I'm taking away from this is that I must not wear high heels to a venue that has an incline. Life lesson has been learned.

I give this concert a good 10 out of 10. I also recommend that everyone check out JoJo's new album "Mad Love" and Stanaj's EP "From A Distance."

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
